6. Lost Pages
The Tavern of the Lost Pages is located in the lower city of Staoslam city, just steps from the port. Due to the nature of the great metropolis itself, it receives a diverse crowd every day. There are several taverns throughout the low town, and the Tavern of the Lost Pages is far from being the most famous. Instead, it is considered an underground spot.
This evening, Adil came to relax at the tavern, far from the overly quiet high city. There, he joins a group of long-time friends, among whom is Opale, who holds particular affection for Adil. They are all seated at a table in the main hall of the tavern, chatting and joking about everything and nothing.
Right next to Adil's group is Damian Twig, a wealthy merchant who regularly visits the tavern: it is here that he secretly meets Anastasia, his mistress.
A man climbs the wooden stairs that lead to the hall upstairs. He goes to inform his boss—the owner of the establishment—that someone is requesting an audience with him.
