By the bar, Brad and Giacomo, two young men who dream of becoming sailors, share drinks while getting to know each other better. They arrived in the city almost simultaneously a few days ago and hope to be signed onto a ship's crew quickly.
Brad comes from a wealthy merchant family that lives in Olkland. Giacomo is from a small village on the east coast of Takkanor, north of Staoslam city. His humble family originates from Navaria. Although they appear completely opposite, they like each other, fueled by a common thirst for adventure. They hope to be signed up together aboard the same vessel.
Since arriving at the port, they have been advised to wait for The Vengeance to return, as it is currently undergoing maintenance at Port franklin. The ship recently lost several members of its crew, and its captain will be looking for new recruits upon returning to Staoslam city in a few weeks, before setting out on another mission. Captain Bright has gained considerable notoriety since his crew helped clear the city of pirate groups that had complicated their lives.
